The Vulcans
are the second most common species in the known part of the galaxy and are considered
also to be the seed species of the Romulans.
They are an ancient and peaceful race, which is dedicated to logic and has a strong sense of honor. They are incapable of telling lies or betraying, but will be found to stay silent, rather than tell the truth that might give harm to others.
Their devotion to logic is caused by their past history, after they nearly self-exterminated themselves in ancient times. Time ago they were a hostile, warrior race and their lives were ruled by strong passions and emotions. Then came Surak, the one that is known as the father of Vulcan logic. This man met with the emissaries of the two sides that were at war and helped them to establish peace, the philosophy of logic slowly prevailed and led T’Khasi to be united.
Vulcans as a species posses the ability of the mind-touch, which is a limited
telepathic ability that allows them to share thoughts and emotions with others.
They use their ability only as the last resort, when there is no other way of
communicating and when all the others forms have failed.
