Vulcan

his planet

The planet Vulcan - or in the native language T’Khasi - is part of triple star system named 40 Eridani , which is composed by a giant brilliant primary star and two dwarfs (a red one and a white one). The primary star 40 Eridani A is the only one able to support a Class M world. Vulcan is one of the two planets to be orbiting it and lays at the coordinates 19.5, 60.0 – 0.6.

The planetary system supports a total population of 14.9 billion and of which around fifth resides in the system’s heavy industrialized asteroid belt.
T’Khasi has a twin named T’Khut, which is a Class H planet and moves along with the other one around the common point that is Eridani A. Both planet have also been given Terran names by the Terran astronomers after figures of Terran mythology, so in the official Federation designations, T’Khasi has became Vulcan, while T’Khut is known as Charis.

From the surface of Vulcan, Charis is seen as a big object in the sky, some calling it a monstrous sight. This planet is lifeless, and its active volcanoes and dust storms are visible from the Vulcan surface.

Vulcan as a planet has a high gravity surface and also high temperature. It’s also the home of an advanced and extremely intelligent humanoid species.

There are several large port cities located across Vulcan’s vast land area, which covers 86% of the planet. The Vulcan Science Academy, also known as VSA, is situated in the city of ShiKahr and it’s one of the Federation’s leading learning institutions.

Vulcan is also a founding member of the United Federation of Planets and has contributed a lot to the growing Federation in knowledge and other things. Vulcan UFP representatives were able to settle many interplanetary disagreements, including the problematic of the admission of Cordian to the Federation.
